Here's a poem I received as part of an everyday email today from the wondrous George Ella Lyon:
We're having a cold spell in Kentucky.
The trees keep saying April! April!
and the wind says Fool! Fool!
But we know the trees are right.

Oh my thank you. I am forwarding this gem to my sweet sister in Connecticut, buried under snow. Again. Thank you.
I love it! You can't argue with flowers, can you?
Spring in Kentucky is what heaven must be like! Karen
Lovely poem, I am such a big George Ella Lyon fan. I'd love to write like her. I particularly like The Star Finder
Wow. That was amazing! Thanks for sharing,

I met George Ella last month at a picture book workshop. She is a gracious person and a wonderful writer. I think she would agree that winter is slowly loosening its grasp on Kentucky.
